Our History
MASP was founded as a fundraiser to provide scholarship opportunities for Maine women. The program is a division of Crossroads, a 501(c)3 youth organization that began in 1997 by Deb & Darrin Landry of Saco. In October of 2026, the program was moved under the leadership of Director, Michele Libby of Jonesport, a volunteer with the program for over 13 years.
Â
It is the mission of this pageant to encourage, support, and teach young women how to give back to their community, be civically minded, and develop the necessary skills to achieve academic and career goals.

...That's what she said!
"
“MASP and the sisterhood we've found here has given my girl a second family of over a decade. It has helped her grow, blossom as a young woman and most importantly, realize that she can accomplish anything she sets her mind to."
"
"MASP has helped me with talking to new people and not feeling as shy. It’s helped me feel more confident and I’m really proud of how much more brave I’ve become this past year."
"
"Joining MASP has been the most rewarding accomplishment. It has helped me be more confident in every aspect of my life and introduced me to a sisterhood that has helped me be a better version of myself"
"It takes a village", and we are no exception.
Meet Our Team
The MASP team is made of up a collection of state pageant staff as well as our group of very talented and knowledgeable local directors and assistant directors, who walk alongside our contestants throughout their journeys. We absolutely could not do what we do without each of them.
