New Look. Same Heart. Welcome to the Next Chapter of MASP.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

You've probably heard that phrase before. And honestly? We agree.

That's why as we unveil the refreshed look of the Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant, we want to start with something important:

The heart of MASP isn't changing.

The mission isn't changing.

The values aren't changing.

The commitment to developing confident, capable, service-minded young women isn't changing.

So, what is changing?

Well... let's just say we've traded in our cassette tapes for a Spotify playlist.

The music is still great—we just gave it a fresh update.

Honoring a Legacy

For decades, MASP has been helping young women discover their confidence, develop leadership skills, celebrate academic achievement, and create friendships that last long after the crowns are passed down.

What began as a college project by founder Darrin Landry grew into something much bigger when he and his wife, Deb Landry, expanded the vision building Crossroads Youth Center Programs right in Saco, Maine - where MASP was born as one of many programs under this 501(c)3 nonprofit.

Together, they built more than a pageant.

They built a community.

A place where girls could learn to speak with confidence.

Serve their communities.

Celebrate their accomplishments.

And discover that their voice matters.

That foundation remains at the core of everything we do today.

So Why the Change?

Let's be honest.

The world today looks a little different than it did when we were watching TGIF, carrying Trapper Keepers, and recording our favorite songs off the radio.

Today's contestants are growing up in a world of social media, personal branding, leadership opportunities, and global connections.

As our contestants evolve, our program should continue evolving too.

Under our new leadership, we wanted our visual identity to better reflect the energy, excitement, creativity, and confidence that already exist inside our organization.

The result?

A brighter.

More colorful.

More modern MASP.

But still unmistakably MASP.

So then, what's actually new?

More Color

Let's start with the obvious.

We're embracing color.

LOTS of it!

The new look reflects the vibrant personalities of the girls and women who make up our program.

Each contestant brings her own talents, dreams, strengths, and style to the stage. We wanted our branding to celebrate that individuality and excitement.

Because leadership doesn't come in just one color and neither does confidence.

A More Modern Experience

We're updating materials, graphics, social media, and communications to create a more polished and engaging experience for contestants and families.

Think of it as giving your favorite pair of jeans a stylish new jacket.

Same comfort.

Same fit.

Fresh new look.

Better Storytelling

One of our goals moving forward is to share more of what makes MASP special.

·         The volunteer projects.

·         The friendships.

·         The community impact.

·         The personal growth.

·         The behind-the-scenes moments.

·         The stories that happen between crowning moments.

Because the crown is only part of the story.

The journey is where magic happens.

What Isn't Changing?

This might be the most important section of all.

The things that make MASP special aren't going anywhere.

Our focus on:

Academic Achievement

✨ Leadership Development

✨ Community Service

✨ Personal Growth

✨ Sisterhood

✨ Confidence Building

✨ Creating Opportunities for young women

These values have guided our program for years, and they'll continue guiding us for years to come. The new look may be brighter, but the mission remains exactly the same.

Looking Ahead

As MASP enters this next chapter under the leadership of Michele Libby, we're excited about what's ahead.

·         More opportunities.

·         More connections.

·         More service.

·         More scholarships.

·         More growth.

·         More unforgettable memories.

And yes...

Maybe a few more colorful graphics.

Whether you're a current contestant, a titleholder, an alumni, a parent, or someone considering joining our pageant family for the first time, we hope you'll come along for the ride.

Because the future of MASP is looking bright.

Really bright.

In fact...bright enough to rival a neon windbreaker from 1992.

And if you know, you know.

Same Heart. New Energy. Bigger Dreams.

At the end of the day, a logo is just a logo.

Colors are just colors.

What truly matters are the young women who walk through our doors and leave stronger, more confident, and more prepared to lead than when they arrived.

That will always be the heart of MASP.

The look may be new, but the mission is timeless.

And we can't wait to show you what's next!

Welcome to the next chapter of the Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant!
